Hallmark Channel’s Loveuary 2026 kicks off with Kim Matula and Aaron O’Connell in The Way to You. I had a chance to watch the movie ahead of its premiere; read on for my spoiler-free review.
Emma (Matula) and Conrad (O’Connell) are looking for love in all the wrong places. “It’s time to take control of your destiny,” Emma’s sister tells her as she laments her single status. That’s how she finds herself in the middle of New York’s famed morning commute, hoping to make that missed connection by changing things up. Life, of course, has a funny way of making the most of those missed connections as Emma and Conrad find themselves crossing paths on the way to the discovery that they’re actually perfect for each other.
As I watched The Way to You, I was immediately reminded of the Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks classic, You’ve Got Mail. Like Kathleen Kelly and Joe Fox, Emma and Conrad have a history of falling for the wrong people. It takes a little twist of fate, and a healthy dose of faith and trust, to find that love is right in front of them.
The Way to You is a very fun movie that pulls you in from the start and keeps you enthralled until the very end. Matula and O’Connell bring their characters to life with warmth and charm, making it the kind of Hallmark movie that’s easy to watch over and over again throughout the year, long after Loveuary is over.
The Way to You premieres Saturday, February 7, at 8 pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel. It will be available to stream the following day on Hallmark Plus.
