AMC gave a midnight gift to the Beautiful Unwell. Not only did the network reveal that The Vampire Lestat premieres Sunday, June 7, but they were nice enough to release the second single, “All Fall Down.” In that vein (pun intended), AMC also dropped the series’ riveting opening title sequence and let’s just say there’s a lot to unpack.

Take a look for yourself. Trust us, no one is going to skip these opening credits.
The Vampire Lestat Opening Title Sequence Easter Eggs
There’s a lot to unpack in The Vampire Lestat’s opening credits and this is absolutely going to be an article with lots of updates. I have a feeling that the more you watch it, the more things you’ll see.
- The freeway signs. Do they reveal song titles? Here’s what we spotted: Regret Death, Midnight Abortion, Cold Hand of Fate, Lost Opportunities, Sweet Relief
- The signs and shots of the road, along with the interior of a tour bus (or train car?) hint at the tour and being on the road with the band.
- The tables with lots of chairs appear several times. Each time we see it, the table is in a different location and there are different items on the table, ranging from an animal skull to a full feast to the remnants of a meal
- Images of the different people in Lestat’s life, including Daniel Molloy, Armand, Gabriella, Louis and Claudia. Interestingly, when Louis appears, Lestat is singing “all fall down” and that could be a reference to his relationship with Louis collapsing. Similarly, when Claudia appears, Lestat sings “burn the ground” and that might be a reference to her tragic death.
- Wrecking balls appear throughout the sequence and they could refer to Lestat and Louis’ relationship, or the people who wrecked their relationships.
There’s so much more to pick apart, so stay tuned and keep checking back for more
Here’s the synopsis of the new season:
“In the upcoming rock and roll centric season, the Vampire Lestat goes on an electric multi-city tour while being haunted by “muses” from his wild and rebellious past. As his band’s popularity and star power rises, so does Lestat’s influence over vampires and humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat’s power in the face of the Great Conversion, an unnatural surge in the vampire population. In addition to Reid, The Vampire Lestat stars Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles and Jennifer Ehle and is executive produced by award-winning producer Mark Johnson, creator, writer and showrunner Rolin Jones, Hannah Moscovitch, along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice. ”
