Whenever Passionflix CEO Tosca Musk tweets, Passionistas pay attention. Whenever Musk converses with authors, fans know that something big is coming. Such is the case with the tweet “heard ‘round the world” when Musk and This Man author Jodi Ellen Malpas shared an exchange on Twitter.
Malpas’ This Man is one of the most highly anticipated adaptations coming to Passionflix. It has been in the works for years – literally – and the delays caused by the pandemic make the chasm even deeper.
However, it looks like things are about to get interesting.
The quest for the perfect Jesse Ward has been ongoing, but could it be that Musk has found him?

Once casting is finalized, filming will begin and then comes the long post-production process. If things go to plan then it’s entirely possible that Jesse and Eva’s story could beam onto our screens in fall 2022 or early 2023.
So that begs the question…who will play Jesse Ward?
The possibilities are endless, but he has to have that all-consuming, smoldering power that Jesse is known for. The Man of The Manor has to fill every scene with his cocky… cockiness, if you know what I mean…
He also has to have the proper accent. The accent is everything.
Casting Jesse Ward could be one of the biggest challenges for Passionflix to date. They have nailed every casting job this far. (Let’s tip our hats to Giulio Berruti and Melanie Zanetti, obviously) Jesse is a whole other kind of character and the need to get him just right is incredibly important.
I’m not worried, though. If there’s one thing I know about Tosca Musk and her team, it’s that they know what they’re doing. Jesse Ward will be perfect, and as soon as the announcement comes I know we’ll all be thrilled at the casting decision.
After waiting for years for This Man to come to life the idea that it’s finally happening is almost too hard to imagine. But go ahead and start imagining it, Passionistas, because IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING!
