Amy Poehler teams up with Parks & Recreation executive producer Michael Schur in a new comedy on Peacock. Dig, which also features Hugh Laurie, is the story a team of archaeologists working on a site in Greece.
The series is an adaptation of Kate Myers’ book Excavations. Poehler and Schur co-wrote the pilot episode.

What is Dig about?
Here’s the synopsis from Peacock: “DIG follows a team of dedicated archaeologists (and less-dedicated college students) who spend their summer working on a dig site in Greece. Their discovery of a rare artifact sends them on the adventure of a lifetime.”
Who is in it?
Amy Poehler (Parks & Recreation) and Hugh Laurie (House) lead a cast that includes Geraldine Viswanathan (Thunderbolts*), Antonia Thomas (The Good Doctor) and Fina Strazza (Fear Street: Prom Queen).
Kayvan Novak (What We Do in the Shadows), Jon Pointing (Small Prophets) and Bonita Friedericy (Chicago Med) are set to appear in guest roles.
Produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group. J.J. Philbin also serves as a writer and executive producer on the series. Morgan Sackett is executive producing, along with Dean Holland, Kate Arend and Jordan Grief for Paper Kite, Dave Becky and David Miner for 3 Arts, and Sharon Jackson for Ocean Avenue. Author Kate Myers is co-executive producer.
When is the Dig premiere date?
Dig premieres Monday, November 23, on Peacock.
