Shudder released the schedule for this year’s Season of Screams, a four-month celebration of all things horror. In addition to the new movies and shows coming to the streaming platform, there’s a whole host of horror classics arriving in the Shudder library. Let’s take a look at what’s coming to Shudder in September and October 2026.
Some of the notable additions to the library include the four movies of the original Psycho franchise, three movies in the Insidious universe, Twilight Zone: The Movie and The Descent.

September 1
Psycho
A secretary on the run for embezzlement takes refuge at a secluded California motel owned by a
repressed man and his overbearing mother.
Psycho II
After 22 years of psychiatric care, Norman Bates attempts to return to a life of solitude, but the

Psycho III
Norman Bates falls in love with a fallen nun who stays at the Bates Motel alongside a drifter and

Author Michae Enslin, who specializes in debunking paranormal occurrences, checks into the fabled
room 1408 in Dolphin Hotel in New York City, settles in, and soon confronts genuine terror.
Scarecrows (1988)
Bank robbers parachute from a hijacked plan into a field full of killer scarecrows.
Dark Harvest (2023)
In a small Midwestern town, a deadly annual ritual unfolds when the mythical nightmare, Sawtooth

An ambulance corpse-van driver falls for the mistress of a brutal mafia boss.
September 28
Picture Mommy Dead
After her mother’s fiery death, Susan leaves an asylum to live with her father and god-digging
stepmother, who schemes with her lover to find the dead woman’s missing diamonds through the
traumatized girl.
Terrornauts
A group of scientists are kidnapped and taken into outer space aboard a saucer.
Nightcomers
Prequel to Henry James’ “The Turn of the Screw,” focusing on groundskeeper Peter Quint’s slow
corruption of the virtuous governess Miss Jessel and the children she looks after.
October 1
Crystal Lake Memories
Documentary chronicling the history of the Friday the 13th franchise.
Twilight Zone: The Movie
Four horror and science fiction segments, directed by four famous directors, each of them being a
new version of the classic story from Rod Serling’s landmark television series.
Gonjiam: Haunted Asylym
The crew of a horror web series travels to an abandoned asylum for a live broadcast. It soon
encounters much more than expected as it moves deeper inside the nightmarish old building.
New Normal
