Ann Aguirre has given us delightful stories like Boss Witch and Witch, Please. Now she’s got another book brewing that’s sure to be a hit. In The Only Purple House in Town, Aguirre tells the story of a woman known as the family “chaos bunny” who reconnects with her first crush, Eli, when he rents a room from her newly-inherited B&B.
Aguirre has a knack for creating characters who balance whimsy and chaos. They’re not outcasts but they’ve never quite fit in with the rest of the crowd, and that’s what makes them so special.
The Only Purple House in Town has all the elements of a classic Ann Aguirre story, and with a mysterious house full of equally mysterious guests, well, it sounds like a real treat.
