AMC Gifts Fans TWO Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid (and Eric Bogosian) Videos

AMC is playing Santa this holiday season by giving fans something very merry and bright. Yes, Christmas (for those who celebrate) came early with a video of Interview with the Vampire (and The Vampire Lestat) stars Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid being interviewed by none other than Eric Bogosian. Then they followed up the fun with a second video on Christmas Day.

Yes, it’s weird and wild and utterly meta, and we love it.

As you can see, the dynamic duo who bring Louis and Lestat are being interviewed by the man who plays journalist Daniel Molloy. Bogosian warns that Anderson and Reid won’t know which questions AMC gave him and which ones he came up with himself, but Anderson insists that they’ll know. At first, Anderson and Reid laugh at Bogosian’s questions, but they settle into the “interview” quite nicely.

On the subject of a playlist that they listen to while getting into their characters’ headspaces (“before you start to do your acting,” Bogosian adds with a remarkably straight face), Anderson says he listens to songs that make him “feel like Louis.” Reid notes that he has a “playlist that is constantly growing.”

Reid adds that he watches Gary Oldman interviews to “calm down,” which earns a laugh from both Bogosian and Anderson. “That’s so unhinged,” Anderson laughs. Reid doubles down, noting that he feels “connected” to Gary Oldman and feels relaxed when Oldman is angry.

Bogosian asks if they ever feel like they’re still in character after leaving set, to which Anderson responds that he’s dressed like Louis in his patterned shirt and brown pants. “I’ve got leather pants on,” Reid chimes in with a smile.

As you can see, the fun keeps rolling in the second half of the video. Here, they get into the type of animal they’d like to be, who would play them in a biopic and how they deal with biting people. And so much more.

With 2026 right around the corner, there’s no question that fans of the Anne Rice Immortal Universe are ready for the return of our beloved vampires in The Vampire Lestat. Thankfully, AMC knows how badly fans are thirsting for new content and hopefully we’ll continue to see more fun videos like these in the future as the countdown to the TVL premiere continues.
