A little scouting trip to see what’s coming to San Diego Comic-Con 2023 revealed that Interview with the Vampire season 2 will premiere in 2024.
Fans have been waiting for news about the series’ return and expect updates during the show’s panel on Saturday, July 22, at SDCC. Now we know the show won’t be back until 2024, leading to another round of speculation about when that could possibly be.

Filming is currently underway for Interview with the Vampire season 2 and is scheduled to wrap in August. Prague will double as Paris; Paris is where Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia (Delainey Hayles, who takes over for Bailey Bass in season 2) meet Armand at the Theatre des Vampires.
The offsite exhibit at SDCC 2023 is where The Walking Dead had a big installation in 2022. The courtyard of the Hilton serves as a blank canvas which is easily transformed into whatever AMC needs it to be. In 2022 it was home to several set pieces from the Commonwealth, and in 2023 it will mirror the Theatre des Vampires in post-war Paris.
In the coming days we’ll learn more about the offsite location, including its hours and when it will be available for fans. I’lll have all of that information for you as it becomes available.
In the meantime, we’re in a holding pattern to see whether the Screen Actors Guild joins the Writers Guild of America in a strike when negotiations expire at midnight on July 12. The outcome will have a massive impact on the IWTV season 2 panel at SDCC, so we just have to wait to see what happens. (And obviously we stand with SAG and WGA and fully support a strike)
Stay tuned for more information about Interview with the Vampire season 2 as it becomes available!
