Who, What, When: Jolly Good Christmas on Hallmark Channel

Countdown to Christmas 2022 continues on Hallmark Channel with Jolly Good Christmas starring Will Kemp and Reshma Shetty.  

This week it’s time to take a trip to jolly old London, where David (Kemp) is busy at work as the holidays approach. When he needs the perfect gift for his girlfriend, he calls upon Anji (Shetty), a personal shopper who knows how to match the perfect gift for any recipient.

Who is in Jolly Good Christmas?

Will Kemp is well known around the Hallmark Channel. In addition to numerous TV roles, he starred in The Christmas Waltz with Lacey Chabert, as well as Royal Matchmaker. Kemp’s background is in dancing; he trained at the prestigious Royal Ballet Upper School in England and eventually assumed the Principal Dancer role, which led him to play the lead in Swan Lake on Broadway and on the West End. 

Reshma Shetty played the lead in the first Broadway National Tour of A. R. Rahman and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Bombay Dreams. She also played the female lead in Royal Pains, and she went on to play recurring roles in shows like Monarch, Blindspot and She-Ra Princess of Power. 

Jolly Good Christmas also stars Callum Blue, Su McLaughlin, James Faulkner, Sophie Hopkins and Amerjit Deu. 

The movie was directed by Jonathan Wright from a script by Ron Oliver. 

What is Jolly Good Christmas about?

Here’s the synopsis from Hallmark Channel:

“David is an American architect working in London for a prestigious firm. With just three days before Christmas, he crosses paths with Anji, a professional shopper, who raises an eyebrow over his choice of a gift card for his girlfriend, who is also his boss’ daughter. David ultimately decides to hire Anji and, thanks to a series of unexpected events, finds himself on a wild adventure across Jolly Old London as they search for the perfect present.”

Jolly Good Christmas premieres on Saturday, October 29, at 8pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel.
