Kristen Proby has done it again. Take A Chance With Me is the latest entry in the With Me In Seattle series, detailing the smoldering relationship between Maggie O’Callaghan and Cameron Cox. The tension has been building between these two for years. They’ve been present in the other O’Callaghan stories, always filling the room with their unspoken desire for each other. Take A Chance With Me is the final story in the O’Callaghan saga and Maggie and Cameron are perfect as the grand finale!
The first thing we learn in Take A Chance With Me is the reason things have always been so tense between the youngest O’Callaghan sibling and her older brother’s best friend. Though they’ve always had the underlying tension between them, they’ve always been friends and that’s what makes this friends to lovers story so compelling.
Maggie has always been the quiet one in the family, and she’s even quieter after her disaster of a husband – who is thankfully no deceased – killed her spirit. Cameron has been watching Maggie for years, and once she starts to let him in he works to earn her trust and help her to see that she is one of the strongest women he’s ever known.
Maggie and Cameron have their secrets, too, and those secrets could unravel all of the progress they’ve made together.
Each O’Callaghan sibling is special, but there’s something about Maggie and Cameron that makes them shine. They have so much chemistry, but it’s their connection that really makes this story special. Cam knows that Maggie has been through a lot, and he wants to empower her through his love and support. He works hard to make her feel safe and she drives him wild; together, they’re unstoppable.
I’ve loved every story in the With Me In Seattle series. I have personal favorites, of course, but every book is amazing and I can honestly say that Kristen Proby never disappoints. The O’Callaghan family is full of strong personalities, but at their core they’re a tight-knit family that would do anything to help each other. Spending time with them is like being wrapped in a warm blanket.
Take A Chance On Me is everything you could hope for in a Kristen Proby story, and I’m incredibly excited for the future of the series as she explores what’s happening with the next generation. The Secret, the first book in the Single In Seattle series, is coming on March 22. The Secret is the story of Luke and Natalie Williams’ daughter Olivia, all grown up and faced with a dilemma when Vaughn Barrymore comes calling.
