Passionflix and bestselling author Emma Chase are teaming up for another movie with the adaptation of Chase’s beloved royal rom-com, Royally Screwed.
“I’ve loved Royally Screwed since the moment I read it and have dreamed of bringing Emma’s world to life on screen for years,” Tosca Musk, Executive Producer and Founder of Passionflix, said in a press release. “This story has everything we love: humor, heart, scandal, and a swoon-worthy romance. With Sophia’s vision and this phenomenal cast, I couldn’t be more excited to finally share it with fans.”
Passionflix is already home to Chase’s Tangled, starring Josh Plasse and Katherine Hughes.

Royally Screwed release date
The exact release date for Royally Screwed hasn’t been revealed yet, but Passionflix promises that it will arrive in time for Valentine’s Day. Since Valentine’s Day 2026 is on a Saturday, we can guess that the movie will premiere on Thursday, February 12, 2026. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

“Olivia Hammond is a quick-witted New York waitress thrust into the world of royalty. Nicholas is the dashing and rebellious prince whose unexpected romance with Olivia sets off a royal firestorm. Queen Lenora is a commanding monarch with a sharp tongue and even sharper instincts.”

Royally Screwed features Jenny Boyd (The CW’s Legacies) as Olivia Hammond and Max Rinehart (Alien:Earth) as Nicholas.
The cast also includes Harry Jarvis (Outlander, Netflix’s The Knight Before Christmas) as Henry, Emma Johnsey-Smith (Hollyoaks) as Ellie, Grant Rosenmeyer (The Royal Tennenbaums, Oliver Beene) as Marty, Tom Cox (Silo) as Simon and Isabella Nefar (Tehran) as Franny.
The movie will be directed by Sophia Kiapos, who is making her feature film directorial debut.
