William Fichtner plays Jasper in The Talamasca
The Talamasca is the newest spinoff coming to the Anne Rice Immortal Universe on AMC this fall, and as San Diego Comic-Con 2025 approaches we’re looking forward to learning more about the cast of the new series.
William Fichtner will play Jasper. Fichtner is has appeared in numerous TV shows and movies over the years. Some of his film credits include Armageddon, Crash, Heat, The Dark Knight and Black Hawk Down, and some TV credits include Mom, Prison Break, Entourage and Crossing Lines.
Here’s what AMC has told us about Jasper so far:
“Jasper is a mysterious American who has quietly assumed control and influence over the Talamasca’s London Motherhouse. Though his motives and methods are cloaked in shadow, his charm and righteous sense of purpose are as dangerous as the power he’s pursuing.”
The secretive group known as The Talamasca has been introduced in the other two series in the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches. The show’s official logline is as follows: “Anne Rice’s Talamasca focuses on a secretive society called the Talamasca, comprised of the men and women responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered around the globe.”
The series is executive produced by Academy Award-nominated John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) and Mark Lafferty (The Right Stuff, Halt and Catch Fire), who also serve as co-showrunners, award-winning producer Mark Johnson and Tom Williams along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice. Hancock will also direct.
We’ll keep you updated as we learn more about The Talamasca, so be sure to check back for updates.
The Talamasca is set to premiere this October on AMC.
