Hear me out: The cast of The Vampire Lestat needs to put on a live concert in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con 2026.
It would be epic. It would be awesome. It would go viral.
It needs to happen.
At the moment, we don’t know when the show will premiere but based on our examination of AMC’s spring schedule we can safely venture an educated guess that we’re looking at June or August. What this means, potentially, is that the season will either be wrapping up around SDCC (July 23-26, 2025) or promo will be at a fever pitch ahead of an August premiere.
Either way, what better way to get fans even more excited than to host a live concert featuring Sam Reid performing as The Vampire Lestat in front of a massive audience in Hall H?
Yes, I said it: Hall H.
It’s time that the Anne Rice Immortal Universe heads to the big room at SDCC. Ballroom 20 is a wonderful venue, but if we’re going to have a concert we need the biggest venue possible. Hall H has hosted the biggest panels at SDCC over the years, including AMC’s Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead Universe. It’s only right that the ARIU makes its debut on the grand stage. The Vampire Lestat, Mayfair Witches and Talamasca could do a big panel together, much as TWD and Fear the Walking Dead used to do back in the day.
And there’s actually precedent for hosting concerts in Hall H: The Supernatural panel kicked off with legendary rock band Kansas performing “Carry on Wayward Son” in 2017. Take a look:
Think about it: Sam Reid could stay in character the whole time, just like Tom Hiddleston’s iconic turn as Loki:
Oh, think of the fun we could have with a whole CONCERT featuring all of the wonderful music Daniel Hart wrote for the series.
Now, there is a downside. If you don’t have a badge for SDCC yet, you won’t get one. However, AMC would very likely record the concert for bonus content later and make it available for everyone to see.
We’re still a few months from SDCC 2026, but I really hope AMC is planning something appropriately extravagant for The Vampire Lestat. The Brat Prince deserves the biggest stage of all.
