When Just Jared ran a poll asking fans their favorite Hallmark Channel stars of 2022, close to 800,000 people voted and despite some close races, there was a clear winner: Tyler Hynes. The star of Time for Him to Come Home for Christmas and one of the trio of stars in this year’s Countdown to Christmas hit Three Wise Men and a Baby won the vote with over 267,000 votes.
That’s right: over 267,000 votes.
And it wasn’t even close. The second place winner was Kristopher Polaha, who ended up with just over 158,000 votes.
Here’s what Hynes had to say to his fans about the results of the poll: “267,000 votes is beyond my understanding. And without even a word from me. You guys truly have too much fun and I am such a fan of the party you all are having. very grateful to be in your company, and looking forward to sharing a drink with you tomorrow night 🤍🥃 cheers to you. This is your accomplishment, it’s certainly not mine 🙏🏻😊🤍 merry Christmas friends

If you’ve ever listened to Hynes talk about his work, you know that he loves what he does but he’s an even bigger fan of his fans, collectively known as Hynies. And if you’ve seen any of the footage from RomaDrama Live and ChristmasCon, you know that the Hynies — and Hallmark fans in general — are truly having one hell of a party.
According to a press release, as of December 13’s ratings Hallmark Channel was “the most watched entertainment cable network in Fourth Quarter among Households, Women 25-54, Women 18-49, Total Viewers, and Women and Persons 18+, with the signature holiday programming franchise reaching over 36.3 million Unduplicated Total Viewers.” In a harsh entertainment landscape where networks are cutting costs left and right, Hallmark Channel is thriving and it’s cause for celebration.
At the end of the day, Hallmark fans are all winners.
We get to watch these talented actors bring new movies to life each week, not just during the holidays but throughout the year. We get to gather at fan conventions and celebrate these amazing actors and show our appreciation for the work they do, and they, in turn, get to celebrate with us. We get to celebrate the friendships and bonds that have formed as a result of a shared love for these heartwarming movies.
Congratulations are indeed in order for Tyler Hynes and all of the actors on the Just Jared poll, and congratulations to Hallmark Channel on another monumental year. If 2022 was any indication, 2023 is going to be great!
