Countdown to Christmas 2022 continues on Hallmark Channel with A Magical Christmas Village starring Alison Sweeney, Luke MacFarlane and Marlo Thomas.
Change is never easy, so when Summer’s (Sweeney) mother moves in with her and her daughter ahead of the holidays, things get a little chaotic. But when Vivian (Thomas) sets up a Christmas village that has been in their family for ages, magie ensues.

Who is in A Magical Christmas Village?
Alison Sweeney, star of Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Hannah Swensen Mysteries franchise and a host of Hallmark original movies. Sweeney joined the cast of Days of Our Lives at the age of 16, and the role led to an Emmy nomination for Best Lead Actress. She’s an avid author and has written several novels. Sweeney is also an executive producer on the movie.
Luke Macfarlane is a frequent flier on Hallmark Channel. He’s been in a number of Hallmark movies including Chateau Christmas, Taking a Shot at Love and A Valentine’s Match. He’s known for his role on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters, and in addition to his numerous TV and film credits he’s also a Julliard grad who is just as at home on stage as he is in front of the camera.
The cast also includes Marlo Thomas, Maesa Nicholson, Maria Meadows, Alaysia Jackson, Lennox Leacock, Trae Maridadi and Ryan Mah.
The movie was directed by Jason Furukawa with a script by Melissa Salmons.
What is A Magical Christmas Village about?
Here’s the synopsis from Hallmark Channel:
“When Summer’s mother Vivian moves in with her and her young daughter Chloe, her orderly existence is up-ended. Upon arrival, Vivian sets up an heirloom, miniature Christmas village resembling their town, and tells Chloe it grants Christmas wishes. As Chloe begins setting up the figurines, real-life events seem to mimic the scenes she creates.”

A Magical Christmas Village premieres on Friday, November 4, at 8pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel.
