Sheila Atim dazzled fans at The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only Live concert on June 2. Atim is slated to appear in the new season of The Vampire Lestat as the iconic vampire queen, Akasha. We only saw a glimpse of the Queen in the extended trailer, teasing the great performance that’s sure to come.
AMC released a series of official photos as The Vampire Lestat cast arrived at the concert. Jacob Anderson and Assad Zaman were fan favorites, of course, but seeing Atim with Delainey Hayles leaves us very excited for the new season. Take a look:

Fans who have read The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned know how much influence Akasha has on Lestat’s story, so it’s exciting to think about the impact that Atim will have on the story.
Show aside, however, we’re even more thrilled about having Atim join the cast. Atim, who was born in Uganda, is known for her work in The Woman King (2022), Bruised (2020) and 2022’s blockbuster Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The BAFTA nominee is also a talented composer, having created the music for the 2017 shorts Lexi and Micky and Flower.
Atim was “spotted” at the very end of the extended trailer, where her hand taps out a beat on her tomb. We can’t wait to see more from the Queen, even if the Queen’s arrival brings chaos into Lestat’s world.
