After the shooting in last week’s episode, Lestat (Sam Reid) was ready to hang up his guitar and put and end to his musical career. Gabriella (Jennifer Ehle) returned and urged him to keep playing music, not for his mortal fans but for the scores of immortals who appreciated what he was doing for the global vampire population.
Now he’s back in the studio making music. Based on the teaser it looks like he’s putting it all out there for his new record. In the first scene, we see Lestat ask TC (Sarah Swire) if they’re ready before running outside in broad daylight to capture the right sound as his skin turns to ash.
Next we see a scene from the past featuring Lestat dancing gleefully in a candlelit room.
Perhaps most shockingly, Claudia (Delainey Hayles) returns. “I missed you, brother,” she tells Louis (Jacob Anderson). He looks very happy to see her again.
Daniel (Eric Bogosian) is trying to understand Sofia’s role in all of this, and he has turned to his maker for answers. “I knew her as Gabriella,” Armand (Assad Zaman) replies. As he speaks, we see Young Lestat and Gabriella in the past. Young Lestat’s wide-eyed expression likely mirrors Daniel’s.

And while we don’t see him in the teaser, we know from The Vampire Lestat episode 5 photo gallery that it’s time to meet Marius (Christopher Heyerdahl) in “New York.” And if we meet Marius, Queen Akasha (Sheila Atim) won’t be too far behind…
