Passionflix and author Kylie Scott announced that filming has wrapped on the upcoming feature film, Lick, based on the first book in Scott’s bestselling Stage Dive series. This will be the first rockstar romance for the streaming service, and we couldn’t be more excited about it.
Here’s the synopsis of Lick in case you’re not familiar with it: “Evelyn Thomas’s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure as hell never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.”
The movie features a very talented cast that includes Travis Burns as David, Brooke Lee as Evelyn, Joseph McNabb as Mal, Eric Brody as Jimmy and Zack Mines as Ben. Australia native Louise Alston directed the movie; Alston is a Passionflix frequent flier known for her work on Resisting Roots, The Package, The Merry Mistake, Just Say When, A Holiday Lift, Sexy Scrooge and The Will.
Scott’s Lick was the first rockstar romance I ever read. As soon as Passionflix announced that they were optioning the book, I bought a copy and dove in without any expectations, and pretty soon I was ordering the rest of the books in the series and devouring those as well.
