Now that Passionistas have had a chance to watch the entire first season of The Secret Life of Amy Bensen on Passionflix, there’s one question on everyone’s mind: When will The Secret Life of Amy Bensen season 2 premiere? While we don’t have an exact date just yet, we can look at some of the clues to see if we can figure it out.
Season 1 and season 2 of the Passionflix series were filmed at the same time, just as CEO Tosca Musk did with Driven seasons 2 and 3. While it’s a lot of ground to cover for the actors, filming multiple seasons of a series—or multiple movies, as is the case with The Gabriel’s Inferno series of movies—is a boon for fans for a number of reasons.
Once a season or film is complete, post-production begins on the first installment and keeps going through to the next season or film even after the first season or film is done. That makes for a much quicker turnaround than filming one season, stopping, and then filming the second season separately.
In a recent Instagram post about the Amy Bensen season finale, a Passionista asked about the release date for season 2 and here’s the response from Passionflix: “It’s already been filmed and is currently in post production.”
That means it will be ready soon.
When will The Secret Life of Amy Bensen season 2 premiere?
When it comes to the actual date for the second season release, there are a couple of factors to consider.
Amy Daws’ Wait With Me movie is currently in post-production, so it’s very likely that Amy Bensen season 2 will follow Wait With Me.
The three Gabriel’s Redemption movies are currently in production in Atlanta, with the first movie most likely to arrive in the fall. (There’s a strong chance that the first installment could be ready in late summer, but I’m not betting on it)
If I had to venture an educated guess, I’m going to say that Wait With Me will debut in March and The Secret Life of Amy Bensen season 2 will debut in May or June. By the time the six episodes wrap up, we’ll probably have a release date set for Gabriel’s Redemption Part 1.
As always, if I hear anything that I’m able to share with you, I’ll be sure to pass it along. Like my fellow Passionistas, I’m thrilled with season 1 and can’t wait to see what happens in season 2. And as someone who once opened all of her Christmas presents three days before Christmas, I can tell you that I have a very hard time waiting, too…
