Key art for Pluto TV Double Feature Fridays
Finding something to watch can be a chore, leading to hours of endless scrolling to find the right movie. The good folks at Pluto TV have a solution to slow the channel-surfing doom scroll. Introducing Pluto TV’s Double Feature Fridays.
In partnership with Entertainment Tonight, fans can tune in to Double Feature Fridays at 8pm ET/5pm PT for a curated pairing of movies that are sure to keep you entertained. Double Feature Fridays launches Friday, August 21, on the Pluto TV Spotlight Channel or on demand.
Each week, a beloved classic will be paired with a new indie film making its free streaming premiere. The pairings are connected by actors, genre or theme. Entertainment Tonight’s Emily Curl will host the evening, sharing ET’s vault of interviews and behind-the-scenes footage in special segments that will only be available to watch on Pluto TV.
“We’re building Pluto TV into a weekly movie night destination,” Will Gurman, SVP of Content Partnerships & Programming at Pluto TV, said in a press release. “Double Feature Fridays pairs a film people already love with one they’re about to discover, then brings in Entertainment Tonight to host the whole night – turning movie night into a ritual our viewers won’t want to miss.”
“The stories behind a movie can be just as memorable as the movie itself,” said Emily Curl, Entertainment Tonight correspondent. “Double Feature Fridays gives us the chance to bring those moments into the experience in a way that’s fun and unexpected, adding a new perspective to familiar favorites while introducing audiences to something new.”
