There’s nothing like a good holiday book to keep you company during the holidays, and Jade Church’s Three Kisses More is the gift that keeps giving and giving and giving.
When Sephy ends up at a business retreat during the holidays, she’s hoping for some time to relax and regroup after breaking up with Seth. She’s packed her sexy lingerie and plush pajamas and she’s planning on a few long winter naps…until she meets Drew on the flight and agrees to join him for dinner. After some playful flirting she realizes he’s one of Seth’s best friends, and also best friends with her boss, Julien.
Sephy quickly discovers that all three men have feelings for her, and she feels the same way, even for her ex, Seth, who seems regretful that they’re no longer together. When she learns that this trio of best friends have shared women in the past she’s intrigued, but when they reveal they’d like to share her, well, they’re all in for a wild ride.
Church has done an outstanding job creating characters with real depth. While it might be hard to imagine a real-life scenario with one woman and three men coming together (pun intended!) and entering a relationship, Church makes it very plausible.
The banter is fun and lighthearted. I love Sephy’s perspective on the three men, but I really love reading the mens’ point of view toward her—and each other. Drew, Seth and Julien are so close and aren’t afraid to give each grief, both in a playful way and when one of them needs to pull his head out of his derriere and do the right thing.
I never knew I was a fan of reverse harem stories until fairly recently, and now I’m hooked. But in order for the story to work well, it has to be believable and Church absolutely delivers. According to her website, her next book The Lingering Dark kicks off her brand-new Kingdom of Stars series.
