I can’t say I’m surprised that Wait With Me, the Passionflix adaptation of Amy Daws’ bestselling novel, is an absolute delight. Thanks to all of the behind the scenes pictures and videos from the cast and crew, the movie had all the makings of an instant Passionflix classic…and it’s true. Wait With Me hits all the right notes, and it was absolutely worth the wait.
Wait With Me makes you smile, it makes you laugh, it’ll bring tears to your eyes and it will remind you why there’s nothing like the euphoric feeling you get when you meet your person.
Passionflix is known for nailing its casting so it’s not exactly surprising that the cast of Wait With Me is perfect. However, “perfect” doesn’t begin to describe this cast. This cast is magic. Pure magic.
Madison Lawlor’s Mercedes Lee Loveletter (aka Kate Smith) and Andrew Biernat’s Miles Hudson breathe authenticity into their characters, capturing their outwardly confident and inwardly vulnerable personalities effortlessly.
In fact, seeing Lawlor and Biernat together is what makes this whole film work so well. Their chemistry is so magnetic that it transcends acting. You can feel their connection, which is a testament to the scope of their talent, the direction from Colleen Davie Janes and the brilliant script from Janes and Passionflix alum David A. Gregory.
The supporting cast shines. We have to credit Caleb J. Spivak, Jordan Blair Brown, Laith Wallschleger, James Knight, Kelli Therinae and Maryjean Feton for helping to bring even more magic to Wait With Me.
Passionflix makes all kinds of romance books into movies, and there’s a reason to love every one of them. But there’s something really special about Passionflix romantic comedies. They’re just as steamy as all of the other Passionflix movies, but their lighthearted feel makes them ideal to watch anytime, especially when you want to laugh.
Wait With Me is the kind of movie you can watch when you want something steamy, something funny, something to make you laugh and something that makes you smile. It’s peak feel-good movie vibes and it’s another home run from Passionflix.
