Maggie and Negan’s strange adventure through apocalyptic New York City continues this summer with The Walking Dead: Dead City season 3. Premiering July 26, the unlikely duo are working in an uneasy alliance to save the vast resources provided by the once metropolitan and now decaying city. AMC provided a series of preview photos ahead of the premiere and we have them for you below.
Lauren Cohan returns as Maggie Rhee and she’s joined by Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan. Joining the cast this season are Jimmi Simpson, Raúl Castillo, Aimee Garcia, Logan Kim and Michael Emery. Though not officially announced in the cast, Gaius Charles (Perlie Armstrong), Željko Ivanek (The Croat) and Lisa Emery (The Dama) were all spotted in the season 3 trailer, suggesting that they will be seen in some capacity in the new season.
Here’s the synopsis from AMC: “In season three, Maggie and Negan finally put aside their differences to build the first thriving community in Manhattan since the apocalypse, but when chaos in the city begins to arise, they are forced to question: have they learned from their old wounds or will their dark past spell doom for the entire city?”
The Walking Dead: Dead City is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer of The Walking Dead Universe, Showrunner Seth Hoffman, Cohan, Morgan, Brian Bockrath, and Colin Walsh.
