The Vampire Lestat Panel Hits Hall H at SDCC 2026

The Vampire Lestat is hitting the big time at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 with a panel presentation in the biggest room of the venue: Hall H. AMC made the announcement on July 9, offering details about special guests and what fans can expect from the big event.

Here’s the official SDCC announcement from AMC:

The Vampire Lestat cast and producers, including Jacob Anderson (“Louis du Pointe du Lac”), Assad Zaman (“Armand”) and Eric Bogosian (“Daniel Molloy”), Rolin Jones (creator and showrunner), Mark Johnson (executive producer) and Hannah Moscovitch (executive producer) take the stage for a panel moderated by Rotten Tomatoes’ Jacqueline Coley discussing the jaw-dropping season finale, with highlights from the electrifying music performance The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only Live, featuring original songs from series composer Daniel Hart and performed by Sam Reid as Lestat.

The vampires are returning to San Diego.

There’s a lot to unpack with this announcement.

First of all, it’s important to note that Sam Reid will be absent because he’s performing in the Sydney Theatre Company’s production of Doubt: A Parable.

We can guess that a panel hosted the week after the big season finale of The Vampire Lestat on July 19 will be tied to a fourth season announcement (or season 2 of The Vampire Lestat, depending on how you’re counting the seasons…). Rolin Jones has been teasing big things to come in the next season, but as of this writing there hasn’t been any confirmation that another season is in the works. (Though not renewing it would be insane)

Will there be another season of The Vampire Lestat, or will we move straight into Queen of the Damned?

Another big question we have is in regards to potential spinoffs. With Assad Zaman (Armand) and Eric Bogosian (Daniel Molloy) in attendance, can we expect an announcement about a Night Island/Devil’s Minion spinoff? This would make sense. The Devil’s Minion story is told in Queen of the Damned, which is the third book in Anne Rice’s canon.

It’s also worth noting that there’s no panel planned for Mayfair Witches, which should be arriving on our TV screens in early 2027. You’d think the cast would be here to promote it, unless AMC is saving the witches for New York Comic-Con.
