What is San Diego Comic-Con?
San Diego Comic-Con isn’t just a pop culture convention, it’s the OG pop culture convention. With over five decades under its belt, SDCC has evolved from a small gathering of comic book fans in the basement of a hotel in the 1970s to a massive international entertainment spotlight where networks roll out the red carpet for their upcoming projects.
When is SDCC 2026?
SDCC 2026 takes place July 23-26, with preview night set for Wednesday, July 22.
Where is SDCC 2026?
SDCC calls the San Diego Convention Center its home base. Over the years, the action has expanded beyond the friendly confines of the building to surrounding hotels and open spaces throughout San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter. The offsite locations are now a huge part of the SDCC experience, and as an added bonus they’re free and open to everyone.
Can I buy a ticket to SDCC 2026?
San Diego Comic-Con 2026 is sold out. Attendees purchase their badges (SDCC-speak for tickets) during special on-sale windows earlier in the year. Badges usually sell out within an hour.
Thankfully, you can keep up with SDCC news on social media, so even if you’re not there in person you can still follow along. If you’re in San Diego, you can also check out the offsite locations outside of the San Diego Convention Center; most offsite locations do not require a SDCC badge for entry.
