The concert tour continues on The Vampire Lestat and the Beautiful Unwell are eager to know what’s coming up for the show after the season finale on July 19. So can we expect to see The Vampire Lestat at San Diego Comic-Con 2026? Here are our predictions.
San Diego Comic-Con 2026 takes place July 23-26. The show will have bowed for its season finale the week before the event begins. However, that doesn’t rule out an appearance at SDCC.
AMC Global Media has always had a big presence at SDCC. The Walking Dead Universe enjoys panels in Hall H, offsite activations and huge building wraps on The Pendry Hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter. It wasn’t that long ago that the network staged elaborate scenes on the exhibit hall floor at SDCC before taking things outside.

In 2022, the Anne Rice Immortal Universe made its grand debut with a building wrap teasing the show’s October 2022 premiere. There was a press conference and panel to celebrate the big news.

Looking ahead to 2026, while The Vampire Lestat’s season may be over, that doesn’t necessarily mean the show won’t have a presence at SDCC.
The SDCC programming schedule hasn’t been released yet, but it’s safe to say that the Anne Rice Immortal Universe will be back in Ballroom 20 this year. Mayfair Witches is returning for season 3 and the show will likely be front and center in the panel. Fans can expect to see some footage and possibly a teaser or trailer for the new season along with cast announcements.
We might see TVL showrunner Rolin Jones and a few cast members on hand to talk about what’s next for the vampires. In fact, SDCC would be the perfect place to make a huge season 4 announcement, and we wouldn’t be surprised if there was some kind of footage to go along with the announcement. Composer Daniel Hart might be on hand to play some music, too.
In terms of cast members being present, everything will depend on their availability. We know that Sam Reid will be in Australia starring in the Sydney Theater Company’s production of Doubt. As much as we hoped for a SDCC concert, it’s not looking likely. While it’s possible that Reid could fly in for SDCC, it’s more reasonable to expect a video message from Lestat in lieu of a live appearance this year. (The play runs through August 2 so it’s very possible that Reid will be on hand at New York Comic Con in October) If there is a presentation of any kind for The Vampire Lestat at AMC’s SDCC panel, we imagine that the network will fly in any actors who can make it.
Now, it’s worth mentioning the iconic building wraps. If AMC announces another season of The Vampire Lestat before SDCC then we can absolutely expect to see vampires on the Hilton Gaslamp. SDCC is known for generating buzz so having some key art for season 4 on display would keep excitement going even though season 3 is over. If no renewal announcement has been made, then it’s possible the entirety of the Hilton Gaslamp could be devoted to Mayfair Witches.
We’ll keep you updated as more information about AMC’s presence at SDCC rolls out. In the meantime, what do you want to see from AMC at SDCC 2026?
